It is located on the top of the hill of Toquilla, in the Sierra Gorda de Querétaro.
Its name means "Cerro del Jorobadillo" (Humpback Hill). The site was settle during the Late Classic and was inhabited from 400 A.D until the arrival of the Spaniards. Its architecture has a clear influence of the Huasteca culture.
The site has an strategic location, with only one access on the north side and surrounded by ravines. The construction follows the guidelines of the natural configuration of the plateau.
Must see Buildings
It is very well preserved so it is possible to walk along its streets, alleys and spaces, and visit residential groups and the ball court.
The construction materials used are flagstone and clay. The stones in the facades are arranged to achieve a homogeneous wall.
The most important constructions are the ball courts, with its L-shaped floor, the largest one measures approximately 50 by 20 meters. Two of them can be identified limited by staggered constructions of three bodies.

It is located south of the Sierra Gorda, approximately an hour and a half from Cadereyta de Montes, Querétaro.
