In the surroundings of Malinalco there are several cave paintings.

Los Diablitos

Located southeast of the town in a gorge formed by the Tepolica River, there are anthropomorphic paintings that seem to be dancing.

El Coyotito

Located northwest of Malinalco in a place known as Rincon de San Juan, here the paintings represent a canine in an attitude of hunting.

Malinalco Cave Paintings

Las Caritas

Located behind the municipal pantheon is also a place where several archaeological remains have been found. There are cave paintings representing two canine figures and a feline, as well as a hand painted in yellow. There are also a series of rock carvings in the form of faces, these rocks gives the name to the site.
