In the petrogroglyphs there are representations of nature, as well as scenes and rituals of men and animals.
It is located to the south of Ciudad Juarez and in this area there are 21 caves paintings and petrogroglyphs.
It is estimated that there are at least 3000 petrogroglyphs.
The paintings are scarce and represent hunters with spears, it is estimated the representantions are at least 2000 years old, but some scholars think the paintings date from the archaic period from aroun 6500 B.C.
There are thousands of petrogroglyphs and according to the features you can see that it corresponds to a style that has been associated as part of a southern extension of the Mogollón originated in New Mexico, a culture that has its peak from 1200 to 1450 A.D.
In the paintings there is a ram, considered as a mythical and magical animal, as well as the deer that also had a mythological character.
Location
They are located south of Ciudad Juarez in Samalayuca.
