Considered as one of the oldest archaeological sites in the state.
The remains show a clear influence of the cultures from the coast of the Gulf of Mexico.
In the site have been found the vestiges of five different occupations. The first dates back to the prehistoric period around 7000 BC. with rock paintings on the cliffs and ancient items.
The second occupation was in the Late Preclassic, the third one has a Teotihuacan influence,, the Fourth, corresponds to the Late Postclassic and is characterized by ceramics with characteristics of the Aztec culture.
Must see Buildings
There is a 8 m high pyramid base and a plaza with an altar that is believed to be a sacrificial stone. Other importan structures are the two Totonac yokes and a sculpture of the Old God of Fire.

It is located north of Tulancingo, Hidalgo, and 35 km from Huasca de Ocampo.
