It is located on a mound between three slopes separated by two ravines.
Built between 600 and 900 A.D., it was one of the most complex ceremonial centers in the Bajío region during the Classic period.
Must see Buildings
Its architectural beauty can be seen in the Casas Tapadas (Covered Houses) building and the ball court, which had two serpentine sculptures associated with fertility.
Surrounding the main buildings are more than 1,000 rocks engraved with symbols, as well as an elaborate miniature reproduction of the most important monuments of the place.
