The paintings are located in the middle of a plain with two small hills, Cerro de la Zorra and Cerro de la Tortuga.
At a maximum height of 50 m each there is a magnificent collection of cave paintings.
These paintings are characterized by presenting at least 15 shades of red, three of yellow, as well as black and white. In total, more than two thousand pictorial motifs have been counted in this area.
There are representations of human figures in different positions, some of them carrying bows and arrows and others with colorful headdresses. There are also representations of animals such as eagles, coyotes, hummingbirds, snakes, deer and some insects.
Additionally, geometric motifs such as lines and circles can also be observed randomly.
It has been determined that most of these paintings correspond to the Postclassic period. The caves date from the years 1100 to 1500 AD. Beside, there are some paintings from other periods.

Location
It is located in the municipality of Victoria, 60 km from León, Guanajuato.
Hours
Tuesday to Sunday from 9:30 to18:00 hrs. The visit is done in small groups and with specialized guides, the last group leaves at 16:00 hrs.
