This is an Otomí settlement.

It was built on the upper part of the San Miguel plateau from where you have a panoramic view of the Acambay Valley. The site was occupied from the Late Classic to the Late Postclassic (850 – 1300 A.D.).

Must see Buildings

The civic-ceremonial center extends for about 6 ha. and it is divided into two architectural groups.

The Group A has a basement known as The Palace.

The Group B there is a temple basement with three superimposed structurers known as the Temple of the Warrior, in front of this building there is a small altar used for religious ceremonies, including sacrifices.

The scholars think this site was a fortress for the high of the walls and the strategic location.
