This settlement was occupied from the year 500 B.C. to 1500 A.C.
Its heyday goes from the Middle Preclassic to the Late Postclassic (900-1200).
Must see Buildings
The architectural complex includes pyramidal bases, platforms, and a ball court. The Western platform is a three bodies structure and is almost destroyed; the Eastern platform has several buildings and several tombs with offerings were found in the altar and in the stairs.
The ball court is located behind the western platform and there is an extension platform with a circular basement, probably dedicated to Ehécatl, the God of the Wind.
The Xipe-Totec platform, named this way for the little sculpture find inside the structure, has a circular altar and the Cuauhtilitzin temple is the highest structure.
It has a site museum with pieces of the Tlahuica and Aztec cultures found in the area.
