A group of basaltic rocks of volcanic origin located on a coastal beach shore.

Las Labradas are around 640 rock carvings in an area of 343 meters.

The engravings represent different geometric shapes, like points, the lines, circles and rectangles, as well as crosses, spirals and more complex figures such as solar representations, human figures and animals.

These engravings are attributed to the Totorames, which inhabited the region before the Spanish conquest.

The petroglyphs are exactly where the waves of the sea crash against the coastline, creating an incredible spectacle that is unique in Mexico and America.
