This site was occupied during the Trenches IV phase.
The site was occupied approximately between 1,300 and 1,450 A.D.
Must see Buildings
The most important feature of this site are the more than 900 terraces on the hillside, some with a length of more than 300 meters, although most measure between 13 and 30 meters.
There are also more than 300 rectangular and circular stone structures attached to some of the terraced walls that reach up to a meter high.
The site has two distinctive architectural elements: the first, almost at the base of the hill, called "La Cancha", a corner rectangle, which is believed to have served as an area of communal ceremonial activities.
The second element is at the top of the hill, and is known as "El Caracol"; it is a snail like construction surrounded by circular structures, because of its location and difficult access suggest that it is a space reserved for a very small group of people.
