The paintings represent the cosmovision of the inhabitants of this region.

Scholars have not agreed on whether these representations were made by the Indian conchos or the Tarahumara.

Three pictorial stages are argued: the archaic one of around 500 A.D., the colonial from the 17th and 18th centuries and the Apache from the 19th century.

The main facade of the cave shows an image that seems to be a woman next to a Shaman, entering the cave can see a man in the middle of a circle that symbolizes the sun. It seems that it isa ll part of a ceremony. In other representations you can see a human figure that seems to be symbolizing a Spanish conqueror.

Location

It is located north of the city of Chihuahua at kilometer 38 of the Chihuahua-Ciudad Juárez highway.
