An important site that depended on Tenayuca, the Chichimec capital.
It was the same time when this site was the capital of the Chichimec culture.
Must see Buildings
It has a pyramid that is a replica of the Great Temple in Tenochtitlan, with several stages of construction and at the top there are two temples. Attached to the site is the Museum of Mexican Sculpture Dr. Eusebio Dávalos Hurtado with a display of skulls, sculptures, zoomorphic reliefs and various figurines found in the surroundings. The splendid Mexican sculptures exhibited in rooms 1 and 2, especially the representations of Ehécatl and Tlatecutli, are the most notorious.
In front of the pyramid, there is a small church built in late 16th century with stones taken from the Pre-Columbian site.
