Magical Towns in Mexico

The Magic Towns Program was created to recognize various places that have special attributes such as an important history, unique cultural and natural attractions, as well as deep-rooted traditions that make the town a place worth visiting.

You can enjoy Bernal with its enormous Peña and its beautiful wool crafts, or Cuetzalan, with its traditions and its incomparable landscape of waterfalls and caves, or Bacalar, with the “Laguna de los Siete Colores” and its ancestral fort, or Izamal, with its imposing yellow convent, or Palenque, with one of the most representative vestiges of the enigmatic Mayan culture, or Tepotzotlán with one of Mexico's most stunning examples of Churrigueresque architecture, or Yuriria, with its convent on the shore of a lake.

The Magical Towns will captivate your five senses: you will feel completely hypnotized by the colors of the different crafts such as the carpets of Huemantla, or the spheres of Chignahuapan. Engulfed by the scents that overwhelm you like the smell of coffee in Coatepec. Enchanted by the flavors that delight with sophisticated rose petal or cheese frozen dessert in Dolores Hidalgo. Mesmerize by the hot springs of Ixtapan de la Sal. And bewitch by the placid sound of the waves that hit the sand in Mazunte.

In this section you will find in detail what to see and do in each of the Magical Towns of Mexico.

Let yourself be dazzled by the magic of all these picturesque places!!
