Xihuingo is a small and interesting town within the boundaries of the Teotihuacan cultural area.
The site is chronologically located within the stage known as Teotihuacán III and VI during the Classic period.
Must see Buildings
The area has a small road, very similar to that of Teotihuacan, a main pyramid, a beautiful restored building and a twenty sqaure-meter floor basement.
The Pyramid "El Tecolote" (Owl), named because a sculpture of this animal was found inside and in one side it has maintained the original red color.
In the residential areas there are large rooms and well preserved staircases.

It is located 2 km from Tepeapulco, on the slopes of Cerro Xihuingo, Hidalgo, 20 minutes from Zempoala.
