Its name is due to the area of its location northeast of Acapulco.

It is one of the most important settlements in the Costa Chica of Guerrero.

The site has a group of large structures but with few remains because of the urban growth. There is also a ritual area with engraved rocks open to the public. In the blocks you can see the representations of anthropomorphic, calendrical, zoomorphic motifs and some abstract symbols.

Its origins are dated at the end of the Early Classic, around the year 400 A.D. and this settlement had its peak 200 years later.

Location

It is located in the ejido La Sabana, northeast of Acapulco, Guerrero.
