Only one pyramid is preserved in the central square.

It is located in the municipality of the same name, in the northeast corner of Guerrero, near the limits with Puebla and Oaxaca, in the depression formed by the Tlapaneco river gorge.

The archaeological zone was covered and the town was constructed over the first settlement. It is believed that the site was occupied during the Postclassic period, between 1000 and 1500 A.D. for all the offerings found in the site.
