The area is made up of six thousand stone engravings.

These stone engravings with anthropomorphic, zoomorphic, phytomorphic, geometric and astronomical shapes that express the history, identity and worldview of the Tohono Ootham, Mogollón, Anasazi and Hohokam ethnic groups dating from the 100 B.C. up to 1400 A.D.

It is considered the largest petroglyph zone in Latin America in terms of diversity in drawings engraved in stone.
