Santos Reyes Nopala was inhabited approximately around 800 B.C.

The site reached its heyday between the years 500 and 700 A.D.

The municipal palace is one of the most beautiful in the region and in its walls there is a display of archaeological pieces sculpted by the Chatin culture (Classic period 500-700 years A.D.).

Along the walls of the city hall there are a series of anthropomorphic monolithic pieces, representing important characters.

The bas reliefs show the garments used by the rulers: headdresses, earmuffs, necklaces and canes. The pieces are distributed on the walls of the municipal palace.
