This settlement is framed by tropical rainforest.
It is a mysterious place dedicated to the cult of fertility with more than 3000 years of history.
The site emerged as a cosmogonic center of great regional importance during the Classic period in the year 200 B.C. It is known that this city was an important exporter of colorful bird feathers.
Must see Buildings
The great Totonaca Plaza is 400 meters long and it is sheltered by cliffs, canyons and ravines, there is a phallic sculpture representing fertility.
The Ball Game enclose the central plaza to the north and the wall have stucco plaster remains.
Other important structures are the Tlaltecuhtli altar with a carved frog, an enormous circular Temazcal, the Templo del Manantial (Water Spring Temple) topped with a doble room and some other buildings with glyphs related with Tezcatlipoca cult.

It is located in the Filobobos River basin in the municipality of Tlapacoyan, approximately two and a half hours from Xalapa.
