The Tobacco Cave also has an importat role in recent history, since the the Independence Act and other historic documents were kept in the cave when Mexico was invaded by the French Empire.
Location
They are located 40 km, approximately 45 minutes from Torreón, in the municipality of Francisco I. Madero on the border with Matamoros. The Cueva del Tabaco is located on the land of the Congregación Hidalgo ejido on State Highway 84, Matamoros, Coahuila.
