El Centro Histórico de la ciudad es un bien cultural inscrito en 1987 The Historic Center of Querétaro is a cultural heritage site inscribed in 1996 on the UNESCO World Heritage List..

Mexico City is the capital of the Mexican Republic and has become the financial, cultural, and political center of the country. It is the largest and most populous city in the world.

Among its grand avenues, viaducts, boulevards, and skyscrapers, you can contemplate its 700 years of history. This long trajectory allows for the discovery of expressions of deep-rooted tradition that recall the indigenous and colonial past, as well as the most refined expressions of art and architecture that reflect the modernity and future of a growing metropolis.

The Historic Center of Mexico City is one of the oldest urban areas in Latin America and is full of history. It represents the historical continuity from the city as Aztec capital to the capital of New Spain to a modern city. When you visit this place you will travel back in time. By exploring it, visitors can discover representative places from the pre-Hispanic, colonial, and contemporary periods of the country's capital.

The pre-Hispanic remains speak of the grandeur of the impressive Aztec city of Tenochtitlán, and during the colonial era, extraordinary examples of New Spanish architecture were erected in its purest Baroque or Neoclassical styles, serving as excellent examples of the mixing of indigenous carving with the grandeur of European constructions.

The Historic Center is composed of 669 blocks and covers an area of 10.2 square kilometers, where you can observe the remains of the five Aztec temples and over 1,000 buildings considered historical and artistic monuments, including temples, museums, hotels, and cultural centers.

For art and history lovers, there is an enormous diversity of options, including over 120 museums, more than 50 theaters, and 7 nearby archaeological zones.

Mexico City, as an authentic cosmopolitan city, has a frenetic activity not only during the day but also at night.

In terms of tourism infrastructure, the city boasts numerous luxury hotels, sophisticated restaurants, and a wide variety of stores with items for all tastes and budgets.

The city has a sub-humid temperate climate with an average annual temperature of 15ºC.
