- La Ciudadela.
If you are looking for folk art, La Ciudadela is one of Mexico City's better-known arts and crafts markets. This colorful and lively market is known for its wide selection of Mexican crafts, such as textiles, ceramics, jewelry, and decorative objects. The market is made up of many different stalls, so if you have time, be sure to work your way to the center, comparing prices and quality, before you buy. Folk Art in Mexico City
- Plaza Garibaldi Craft Center
A three floor building where crafts from all over the country are exhibited. There are interesting pieces such as traditional costumes, sarapes, talavera pieces, charro hats, multicolored ponchos and of course the most famous drinks of Mexico such as tequila and mezcal. One of the additional attractions is the Museum of Tequila and Mezcal (MUTEM), with an interesting exhibition.

The Museum of Popular Arts (MAP) Gift Shop
The shop is has a selection of colorful pieces from around Mexico. It is known for its high-quality souvenirs and artisanal Mexican products. There is everything from jewelry, ceramics, masks, cardboard, metalwork, textiles and ceramics.

Parakata
Its number means “butterfly” in Purépecha. This is an attractive gallery that specializes in crafts from Michoacán, one of the most prolific states in terms of the production of crafts. This nice shop sells very original Mexican handicraft, especially the sculptures made from pappmache, copper pieces, silver jewelry and great masks.

San Ángel
El Bazaar Sábado
It's worth visiting San Ángel on a Saturday just to visit the upscale artisan market that's been going strong there since 1960. It's jam-packed with artists and artisans who sell their wares here week after week, including paper flowers, embroidered blouses, tin toys, carved Pepita glass, etc. Some of it is on the folksy side, but there's always at least one discovery to walk away with. Each of these pieces has a very personalized and original artistic touch. Plus, there's a restaurant traditional Mexican restaurant in the courtyard and right across the street is the weekly artist's street market.

- FONART in Los Pinos Cultural Center
Los Pinos, former home of the Presidents of Mexico, has become a cultural complex where one of the most exclusive craft stores in the entire city is located.
Fonart is the National Fund for the Promotion of Crafts that seeks to support the artisans, so here you will find high quality pieces.
There are ceramics, basketry, cardboard, wood, textiles, as well as various decorative items. Annex, you will find a store with various typical Mexican food products such as: sweets, chocolates and tortillas, among others.
