CHOCOLATE OLMEC HEADS AND CHOCOLATE CAYUCOS, A DIFFERENT WAY TO ENJOY THE HISTORY
The state has an important artisan tradition. Its creative artists have used the wide variety of raw materials. They have been able to give life to woods, vegetable fibers and clay, creating unique pieces that allow us to see the ancestral heritage of cultures such as the Olmec and the Mayan.
The icons representing the Tabasco creations are the Olmec head and the drummers, whose music is part of the traditions of the people from Tabasco.
In Tabasco you can find the Olmec heads and the famous cayucos (a small native fishing dugout) in chocolate, basketry pieces, wicker furniture, palm hats and the famous carved jícaras, one of the most genuine, beautiful and representative crafts of the state.
