TRADITIONAL SCORPION CRAFTS
The artisans of Durango have managed to express their traditions and customs, as well as the conception of beauty and the relationship with nature through their creations. In their crafts you can see both the mestizo character and the pre-Hispanic heritage.
Throughout the state you can find crafts made with leather, creating: bags, wallets, belts, cigar boxes, suitcases, boots and saddles.
Huichols in the area make hats, bags and backpacks, as well as bracelets, bead ornaments and some work in wood and clay.
The Tepehuanes make bows, arrows, hats, sashes, woolen blankets and woven baskets.
The Tarahumaras make clay pottery, bows and arrows with stone points, flutes and drums.
