SALTILLO IS INTERNATIONALLY FAMOUS FOR THE SARAPES, BRIGHTLY COLORED SHAWLS
In Coahuila the craftsmen have been able to preserve their traditions. The Sarapes of Saltillo are know everywhere, but the state artisians also produce saddles and cowboy boots.
The crafts can be found in the Sunday markets or tianguis in Saltillo, Torreón and towns such as Arteaga, as well as in regional stores.

Handicrafts in Cuatro Ciénegas
The artisans use mainly wicker and wild reed to create figures. Cups, slabs and tiles are decorated with handmade paintings of the town's landscape.
This Magical Town uses wood as the main material for the crafts. In Cuatro Ciénegas you will find nice trays, chests, jewelry boxes and decorative figures that represent animals and fruits made with mesquite wood.
