In the state of Tamaulipas different communities create a variety of beautiful crafts using products as: mud, wood, suede, vegetable fibers and seashells, among others. The artisans use their imagination to create unique pieces that reflect their traditions.
However, this state has become famous the Cuera Tamaulipeca, a handmade suede jacket with fringes or wattles is the typical costume representing the State of Tamaulipas, it was originally made in the early 20th century in the city of Tula, inspired in the western American cowboy attire.

In this region you can find clays of up to seven different colors with which pots and some other utilitarian products are made, as well as some beautiful decorative pieces.
However, the town is well known for its embroidery, using beads and glass beads. The skilled artisans of this Magical Town are nationally recognized for the elaboration of wedding dresses and other celebrations such as first communion and fifteen years.
You can also buy hand-embroidered wool bedspreads.
