The site has its origin in very early times.

There are vestiges of the ceramic phase called Capacha, which dates from 1500 B.C.

La Campana reached its peak during the period between 700 and 900 B.C. It was an important political-economic and religious center, but in the sixteenth century the Franciscans and inhabitants of the region used the pyramids materials to built churches and other structures.

Must see Buildings

This administrative religious center has a well-preserved street planning, drainage systems, numerous monuments, and residential areas.
