Located on the banks of the Filobobo River.

You can reach the site by boat or kayak, or on foot covering arond 8 km.

It was a city of great importance during the Late Postclassic period, between 1200 and 1500 A.D. The site has been only partially excavated in offers very open spaces.

There is a small ball court, a group of residential buildings, a group of basaltic stones with bas-reliefs, a circular sanctuary, the Temple of the Grecas or Xicalcoliuhqui, the Palace with fresco paintings and other structures of unknown function.

It is located in the municipality of Atzalan, Veracruz, approximately an hour and a quarter from Xalapa.
