TACO

It is one of the most popular dishes in Mexico and consists of a tortilla, usually made of corn, that is filled with various ingredients or stews and seasoned with sauce. It is a distilled spirit made from the the blue Agave plant that can only be produced in certain regions of Mexico starting with the town of the same name in Jalisco. However, there are four other states where it is produced: Guanajuato, Michoacán, Nayarit and Tamaulipas. There are several classes: white, gold, reposado, añejo, extra añejo and reserva.

Alcoholic drink made from fermented corn

It is an unconventional alcoholic drink made from fermented corn masa that takes on a flavor similar to Mexican tamarindo candy. It is very popular in the states of Colima, Jalisco, Michoacán, and Nayarit. In Jalisco salt and lemon are added and in Puebla and San Luis Potosí it is prepared with prickly pear and palo de timbre peel.
