WHAT TO EAT IN TEMACAPULÍN
Like many other towns in Jalisco, Temacapulín offers a rich and varied gastronomy.
A wide variety of fruits are grown in this area, and cheeses, mesquite honey with lavender, grilled tortilla salt, and hibiscus salt are produced.
Typical dishes include birria, tortas ahogadas, pozole, and tamales, among others.
One dish you must try during your visit to these Pueblos Mágicos is pescado en penca, prepared with catfish from the Río Verde placed inside nopal leaves with tomatoes and chili de árbol, then grilled.
Other iconic local dishes include carne en su jugo, a beef stew, and Jalisco-style menudo.
