When visiting Yuriria, be sure to try the traditional “Caldo de Michi”.

This is a kind of soup made with catfish from the lagoon, carrots, chayote, pumpkin and xoconostle.

If you want to try all the delicacies of the Magical Town, you can visit the Benito Juárez Market, where there are several places that offer typical dishes of the area such as guisados de bistec (beef stew) and tamales de vuelta en vuelta made with blue or colorado corn with peanuts and chickpeas.
