WHAT TO EAT IN AMATLÁN DE CAÑAS

Amatlán de Cañas is a fertile municipality producing beans, corn, papaya, and peanuts, among many other products.

In the community of El Rosario, there is a small factory producing peanuts in an artisanal manner, along with other derived products such as marzipan, chocohuate, cream water, sauces, and various types like roasted, spicy, and candied peanuts.

Some must-try dishes include: tomato-coated tongue, goat birria,  meat with chili in the southern style of the state, and, of course, peanuts in all their forms.

The delicious colado tamales, traditional milk sweets, hibiscus liqueur, and jam are some of the desserts you should try during your visit.
