WHAT TO EAT IN ZAMORA
One of the typical dishes of Zamora are Zamorano-style potatoes.
This dish includes cooked potatoes accompanied with three types of sauce: black, oil, and cucumber with jalapeño.
Another delight of the place is the meat in its juice in the style of the region, made with beef and its broth with beans, avocado, cilantro and onion to taste.
In addition, you can also try many of the delicacies from all over the state of Michoacán such as carnitas, uchepos and corundas, among many others.
And of course you must try the chongos zamoranos, pieces of sour milk combined with ingredients such as cinnamon syrup.
It is interesting to know that the traditional chongos zamoranos have also been incorporated into the preparation of other desserts such as flan, jelly and even cheesecake.

Ingredients:
- 2 liters of whole milk
- 1 stick of cinnamon
- juice of two lemons
- 1 cup of sugar
- 2 tablespoons of grated piloncillo
Directions:
Warm the milk with the cinnamon, sugar and piloncillo, always avoiding the boiling point.
When it is lukewarm, gradually add the lemon juice and mix lightly.
Turn off the heat and let rest for 30 minutes.
After this time, you will notice that the milk has curdled a bit and that is when you should turn the heat back on and let it cook for two hours over low heat and without stirring.
During this time you will notice that the milk begins to release a whey that looks like water, that is part of the process.
