WHAT TO EAT IN MONCLOVA

In Monclova you can enjoy a delicious meat.

Some of its most typical dishes are: parrilladas (barbecue), which can include arrachera (thinly sliced skirt steak with seasonings), sirlon, chicken and pork, among others. Of course, accompanied by guacamole and the traditional flour tortillas.

Another dish that you cannot miss when you visit Monclova is cabrito, cooked on the grill seasoned with salt, spices, and a guajillo or pasilla chili sauce.

Carne Arrachera Recipe

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup Maggi seasoning
  • ½ cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of mustard
  • ½ cup lemon juice
  • 1 minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of corn oil
  • 1 cup of light beer
  • 800 grams of arrachera meat

Ingredients for the onions:

  • 2 bunches of cambray onion
  • 1 tablespoon of Maggi seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 lemon
  • 3 tablespoons of corn oil

Directions:

Mix the Maggi seasoning with the Worcestershire sauce, the mustard, the lemon juice, the garlic and the oil and pour the mixture into a container. Then add the beer and meat. Covered with plastic and left to marinate for an hour in the refrigerator. It is better that it is left to marinate for one night.

In a bowl, marinate the onions with the Maggi seasoning, the Worcestershire sauce and the lemon juice.

The grill is heated and greased with a little oil and cooked the onions and the steak on both sides.
