In the rainy season you can try the quintoniles (a wild herb with long, wrinkled oval leaves and green flowers), for example with onions, or mushrooms in pasilla chili.

And for dessert, don't forget to try the variety of typical sweets, such as palanquetas (candy treat made of roasted peanuts, caramelized sugar, a variety of seeds, with a touch of salt) and alegrías (made with amaranth, nuts and seeds). Other delicacies are tecojote jellies and capulín ate.

As in the entire State of Mexico, you can savor a rich pulque a milky white, viscous, and slightly acidic beverage with an alcoholic content.

The natural flavor of pulque is intense and when adding some other flavor such as strawberry, pine nut, guava, and more, it is known as pulque curado or flavored pulque.
