WHAT TO EAT IN CIUDAD ACUÑA

The typical food of this city is very similar to the rest of the north of the country.

However, delicious roasted meats, fried meats, morcilla (sausage made from the slaughtered pig) and machacado (shredded dry beef) are very common in here.

It is a place where you cannot stop trying its tacos made with top quality meats.

You can also enjoy the typical burritos and nachos, as well as gorditas.

Beef Tacos Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 350 grams of beef steak
  • 8 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 pinch of dried oregano
  • 2 tomatoes cut into squares
  • 1 onion, julienned
  • 3 sprigs of chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 lemon
  • Corn tortillas
  • salt to taste
  • guacamole to taste

Directions:

Season the steak with salt, pepper and a pinch of oregano.

Heat the olive oil in a pan and add the meat to seal it on both sides, until it is perfectly cooked. Cut it in the form of band-aids.

In a container put the onion, tomato and coriander and add the lemon juice. Mix and reserve.

Heat the tortillas on both sides until soft and place on a platter for the tacos.

Lightly sauté the meat in 2 tablespoons of olive oil and add to the tortillas.

Serve with salsa and guacamole.
