The town is known for its magnificent leather work on pieces such as jackets, bags, belts, boots, handbags, and shoes. Throughout the town you can find several workshops that make all these attractive items.

Colorful woolen textiles such as overcoats, hats, ponchos, gloves, socks and sweaters are also produced in Villa del Carbón.

All this wide variety of handicrafts can be purchased at the Handicraft Market, or in the various stores around the portals.

Another good souvenir is the delicious rompope (an eggnog-like drink made with eggs, milk, and vanilla flavouring).
