It is a town dedicated to the production of textiles from jorongos (article of clothing to cover from the cold and rain) and blankets, to shawls, huipiles (a tunic-like garment made by stitching together anywhere from one to five pieces of cloth), blouses, napkins and tablecloths; all made with cotton, wool and worsted.

Be sure to visit the Municipal Craft Market, which is located in front of the archaeological zone, to enjoy the enormous diversity of colorful products and of course to try the famous mezcal.

Many of the houses in the Magic Town are weaving and embroidery workshops, so you can visit one of this places to learn a little more about the process of making this beautiful pieces.
