The town has an indigenous community with a rich craft tradition.

The pottery products are made with techniques and designs that date back to pre-Hispanic times. Here you find pots, casseroles and some decorative pieces.

Musical instruments and carved masks are also produced, especially Jewish masks, made of wood and wild boar leather, which are used in Holy Week festivities.

Their palm hats are famous, with a narrow brim and a round crown, used in the traditional clothing of the people from Sinaloa.

It is a good place to buy woven rugs, hammocks and ixtle mats, as well as wool blankets.
