In Mocorito and other nearby towns, indigenous communities have preserved their traditions in the production of crafts since pre-Columbian times.

Here you will find very good quality musical instruments, as well as carved wooden masks that also incorporate wild boar leather and are used in the festivities that take place during Easter.

In this Magical Town, you can also buy clay pots and pans, basketry products such as baskets and bags, and yarn embroidery.

Additionally, artisans in the area produce ixtle mats and wool blankets.

In Mocorito, beautiful wood carved pieces are also made, including good quality furniture. Especially in the nearby town of El Mezquite, objects are made from different woods from the region such as pine, cedar, perihuete, paguay and guamúchil, to name a few. Other communities such as Cerro Agudo and El Tule make attractive furniture.
