Avenida de los Héroes is lined with a wide variety of shopping options such as shoe stores, jewelry stores, clothing and much more, as well as a good number of restaurants.

Just 15 minutes from downtown Chetumal is the free zone of Belize offering a variety of products at very good prices in more than 300 stores, it offers imported products free of taxes. Here you can find luxury perfumes, clothing and accessories. To cross you need a passport and there is a purchase limit per person of 1000 dollars.

Chetumal also offers the traditional markets: Lázaro Cárdenas del Río, Andrés Quintana Roo and Manuel Altamirano. In all three you can buy fresh products, some handicrafts and enjoy snacks.
