Comala is also famous for making mahogany and parota furniture, as well as various decorative items. The beautiful furniture have unique elements as the wrought iron and are painated with colorful designs.

The themes represented in these pieces of furniture are varied and range from stylized birds such as doves, canaries, pheasants, quails and cardinals, to flowers, fruits and butterflies. Comala has remarkable furnitures and that is why the products are being exported to different parts of the world.

In the community of Zacualpan you can find handmade embroidered blanket clothes where you can see the traditions that have been inherited from generation to generation. Within the themes of embroidery are birds, flowers, foliage and fretwork.

The small community of Pueblo Blanco, located just 7 km from Comala, preserves the heritage of Maestro Alejandro Rangel Hidalgo, an amazing technique of painting on wood, where birds predomínate like quail, pheasants and cardinals, among others. These beautiful paintings decorate the furniture such as: tables, dining rooms, chairs, carving, clocks, dressers and night tables.

The artisans also produce lanterns and lamps, of all types and sizes for interior and exterior.
