ANCIENT JESUIT MISSION WITH A RICH HISTORICAL LEGACY

This beautiful town was founded in 1594 as a Jesuit mission, giving it an important historical legacy.

It was the first Spanish settlement in the northwest of Mexico, which gives it a clear colonial atmosphere. In its center alone, there are 80 mansions, beautiful squares, and monuments that speak of the place's rich past.

Walking through the town means enjoying its ancient buildings, dense groves, but above all, its legends and stories. It is said that wandering souls roam the streets of the town, as well as animals that transform into humans and vice versa. Strolling through this Magical Town is an authentic journey to another time.

In December, it celebrates the Festivities of the Purísima Concepción with music, fireworks, and local snacks.

Its climate is warm during the summer months, reaching temperatures of 30°C, and cooler during the winter when the temperature can drop to 10°C.

It is located 121 km (about an hour and 45 minutes) from Culiacán and 120 km (about an hour and a half) from Los Mochis.
