TOWN WITH EXCELLENT CLIMATE SURROUNDED BY NATURAL BEAUTIES
This is a climatic intersection point due to its geographical location, with the particularity of experiencing different altitudes and temperatures in the same place. It is known as the gateway to the "Hot Land" region.
This town is characterized by its uneven streets and white houses.
It is surrounded by forests and beautiful landscapes, such as the Laguna de La Magdalena, Cerro Hueco Park, the Santa Paula Waterfall, and La Alberca, one of the three volcanic craters filled with water in Michoacán. Its beautiful surroundings make it an ideal place for nature lovers and those who enjoy adventure tourism.
On the way to this beautiful Magical Town, you will find blackberry and avocado orchards, which are two typical products of the region.
It is located 88 km (one hour and 45 minutes) from Morelia, 57 km (one hour and fifteen minutes) from Pátzcuaro, 109 km (2 hours) from Uruapan, and 402 km (5 and a half hours) from Mexico City.

Plazas
The corners and fountains of Tacámbaro invite us to stroll through its various squares, such as Plaza Nicolás Régules, Plazuela del Santo Niño, a romantic space framed by its old arches and embellished by its charming quarry fountain, and of course, the "Benito Juárez" Main Square, from where you can admire the Cathedral of San Jerónimo and the old cloister used as the City Hall.

The cathedral is located exactly where the Augustinians built a convent in the 16th century. It is characterized by a dome made of copper.
Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima
It is a striking mid-20th-century church with magnificent views of the valley, where images of various virgins brought from countries that were once communist are venerated. In front of the sanctuary is a replica of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. This is the only one of its kind in the Americas.
Templo del Hospital
The temple is the successor of the community centers for the care of the needy founded by Vasco de Quiroga.
Capilla de Santa María Magdalena
This was the first chapel in the region.
Centro Cultural Amalia Solórzano
Located in Portal Codallos, it is an 18th-century house that houses a small museum that talks about the traditions and history of the area and the state of Michoacán.
