There are rides of a few hours, or tours of one to three days where old mining routes, rustic towns and mountainous landscapes are covered.
CUITZEO
La Alberca de Los Espinos
It is an extinct volcano with a saltwater lake in its crater. It has a path to enjoy a horseback ride in the middle of a unique flora and fauna of the region. It is located near La Piedad, one hour from Cuitzeo.

Monarch Butterfly Sanctuaries
One of the most attractive options is the horseback ride from Angangeo to the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuaries.
The three Sanctuaries of the Monarch Butterfly, Senguio, Sierra Chincua and El Rosario, offer horseback riding to arrive and observe this unique spectacle. Also within the sanctuaries there are camping areas, bicycle rental and zip line.
MORELIA
In the surroundings of the city you can enjoy walks through the forests and hills where you can have contact with nature. There is also an equestrian club that offers classes.
The horses are trained so you can have a nice and safe tour.

PARACHO
Angahuan
This is a route that runs on the slopes formed by the lava of the Paricutín. At kilometer 23, Mil Cumbres offers a scenic walk through the forests of the region. It is located 45 minutes from Paracho.
TACÁMBARO
Cerro Hueco Ecological Recreational Park
It is a place where you can ride a horse in the middle of beautiful wooded landscapes, until you reach the viewpoint from where you can enjoy an incredible panoramic view of Tierra Caliente and a crater full of water known as La Alberca.
Here you can go hiking, mountain biking and camping. It is located 5 minutes from the Magic Town of Tacámbaro.
URUAPAN
Volcán Paricutín (Volcano)
You can get to know this unique and enigmatic place and discover one of its secrets, which is the buried church. The route is full of black sand and basalt stones. It is located one hour from Cuitzeo and two hours from Uruapan.
La Tzaráracua
It is a beautiful waterfall with multiple falls of crystalline water 60 m (196 ft.) high. The waterfall is surrounded by exuberant vegetation and can be reached by renting a horse. This ride is enjoyed from the beginning by the incredible landscapes. It is located half an hour from Uruapan.
ZIRAHUÉN
Zirahuen Adventure Park
Saddle up for an adventure and experience the forest with calm because the horses are trained and you can ride along beautiful landscapes where the dense forest contrasts with the green waters of the lake.
