Equipment and Infrastructure

There is a great diversity of diving establishments in Cozumel. All of them have trained captains, divemasters and experienced instructors.

Staff trained in first aid, CPR, oxygen administration, and decompression sickness assistance are always on the team.

Specialized equipment can be rented, tanks, weights and belts are included in all dives.

You can also rent quality photographic equipment. However, it is always a good idea to bring your own mask, fins, snorkel, and regulator.

Due to the temperature of the water, heavy neoprene suits are rarely necessary, 3mm (1/8 inch) lycra suits are optimal, although keep in mind that drift diving tends to cool the body a little bit more. Gloves may not be worn, to avoid the temptation to touch any animals or reefs while diving.

Here you can get the PADI Open Water Diver certification, which gives you the necessary knowledge to enjoy diving and is internationally recognized.

The boats are comfortable and fast, they come in all sizes, from small to luxury boats, or even catamarans. No place in the Caribbean compares to the coral formations offered by the crystal clear waters of Cozumel.
