MINERAL DE ANGANGUEO
Presa Mata de Pinos (Dam)
In this dam you can catch carp, catfish, bass and rainbow trout. It is also an ideal place to enjoy its pleasant wooded landscape. It is located 16 km south of Ciudad Hidalgo and one hour from Mineral de Angangueo.
Camécuaro Lake National Park
Se can Anglers can find trout in the lake and also enjoy all the activities that this beautiful place offers such as diving, camping, swimming and boating. It is located one hour from Mineral de Angangueo.
MORELIA
Presa Homécuaro
It is located in Santiago Undameo very close to Morelia and anglers can find bass and rainbow trout. It is located half an hour from Morelia.
Cascada de El Salto
It is a huge waterfall of more than 25 m (82 ft) high, formed by the descent of the waters of the Lerma River, where at some times of the year you can catch trout and some other varieties of fish. It is located one hour from Morelia.
Sport Fishing in Michoacán
Laguna de Cointzio
It is a lake located on a natural basement called Undameo, anglers can fish charales, a small species of fish typical of this lagoon. It is located half an hour from Morelia.
Río Grande de Morelia
It is the most important tributary of Lake Cuitzeo and you can find charal, chehua, sardines and carp.
Presa Pucuato y Presa Sabaneta
Both dams are located in the Hidalgo municipality and you can catch bass and rainbow trout. It is located an hour and a half from Morelia.
PATZCUARO, ZIRAHUEN AND ZACAPU
In these three lakes you can catch acumara, rainbow trout, bass and charales.
BEACHES IN MICHOACÁN
Rivers of Aquila, Ozula, Coalcomán and San José
In all these rivers you can catch sea bass, mullet, rockfish, snapper, trout, coke, guabina, prawn, crab and shrimp. It is located half an hour from San Telmo, one of the most beautiful beaches on the Michoacan coast.
Puerto Lázaro Cárdenas
This is an important port in the country, where you can practice deep-sea fishing. Among the most common species in the area are: tuna, dorado, castilla trevally, bull trevally, blue marlin, black marlin, striped marlin, snapper, roosterfish, sailfish, and wahoo.
Lázaro Cárdenas has all the infrastructure and services with boats of all kinds so you can have a pleasant fishing experience. Do not forget to visit some of the other Michoacán beaches authentic hidden gems.

Here you can catch trout and shrimp and enjoy the beautiful landscapes that surround it.
Río Balsas
In the river you can catch catfish, sea bass, cabezauda, red snapper, durel, rockfish and shrimp.
Presa La Villita
You can catch bass and rainbow trout and it is located 20 minutes from Lázaro Cárdenas.
TLALPUJAHUA
Presa Tepuxtepec
It is formed by waters of the Lerma river. Here you can catch trout and catfish. It is located an hour and a half from Tlalpujahua.
ZITÁCUARO
Presa del Infiernillo
Also known as Adolfo López Mateos Dam, it is the ideal place to catch rainbow trout, bass and catfish. The piers are located in the communities settled on the shores of the lake. It is located 10 minutes from Zitácuaro.
Presa del Bosque (Dam)
This is a nice place for anglers to fish trout and catfish. You can also swim and organize hikes in the surroundings. It is located 20 minutes from Zitácuaro.
