BEACHES IN MICHOACÁN
The beaches of Michoacán offer good options for surfers.
In the summer you can find waves that can reach up to 3 m (10 ft.) high.

La Ticla
This beach offers a wave variety. The main peak is right hander that breaks right in front of the river mouth. Being on a river mouth, the waves here break over cobblestone rock. It is one of the favorite places for surfers from all over the world. Crowds can be varied dependeng on the swell and the day of week.
Rio Nexpa
It is indisputably one of Mexico's best lefts when a sturdy S or SW swell is running. Nexpa's left is a long, occasionally barreling wave that hits the cobblestone fan of a wide rivermouth. At its best, Nexpa is nothing short of reeling, leg-burning, and world-class.
It is a place for surfers with some experience since the waves are generally large, but you can practice surfing throughout the year.
This place is a frequent venue for national and international surfing tournaments, as it is internationally known for its perfect waves.
Playa de Caleta Campos
It is a bay that has good waves, ideal for beginners.
Playa Azul
It has a sandy bottom and break son both sides. This soft sand beach has powerful waves almost all year round.
Lázaro Cárdenas
This beach is not the best in the area but it has good conditions for surfing most of the year. It has a sandy bottom.
