HUETAMO
Cerro de Dolores
It is characterized by having on its top an enormous rock in the shape of a plume and the same rock on its right side appears a face that locals assure is the Christ face. It is one of the biggest attractions of Huetamo and from its top you have an incredible panoramic view of the town. It is located in Huetamo and was previously known as the Great Iquimengari.
MINERAL DE ANGANGUEO
Cerro San Andrés
Located in the municipality of Hidalgo and is the third highest peak in the state of Michoacán with an altitude of 3,600 meters above sea level. It is a true paradise and is visited by the Monarch Butterfly. It is approximately two hours from Mineral de Angangueo.
MORELIA
Los Picachos de Acucha
This are not easy climbs and it is important that you make a plan for at least two days, and you must have a good guide.
If you decide to climb, the fist part is on horses and then you have to continue on foot. There is a base camp in the middle of the climb where you can spend the night to reach the top of the hills the next day.
Its ascent has a moderate average difficulty, however, not all people can ascend this mountain because of the rocky caves and uneven paths. In addition, you will have to rappel in some sections. It is located approximately two and a half hours from Morelia.
Another interesting option is Cerro Condémaro, which is located in La Huacana and has an altitude of 1,808 meters above sea level. It is located between the municipalities of Tuzantla and Tiquicheo, approximately 15 minutes from Morelia.

PARACHO
Cerro del Tecolote
Another option is the Tecolote hill in Zacapu and the Tzirate in Quiroga, from the latter, it is possible to enjoy the panoramic view of Lake Pátzcuaro and the towns on its shore. It is located one hour from Paracho.
URUAPAN
El Pico de Tancítaro
It reaches an altitude of 3,845 meters above sea level, it is the highest peak in the state. It is possible to access several points of interest for lovers of exploration in the rocky elevations. It is located 40.6 km, approximately an hour and a half west of the city of Uruapan.
Volcán Paricutín (Volcano)
This is one of the most unique experiences you can live, because it was established as a natural wonder because mankind witnessed its birth. It is one of the youngest volcanoes on Earth.
The volcano is practically surrounded by lava, it is a paradise for hikers, since it has areas with sandbanks and lava residues, the result of the eruption in 1943. You can climb up to the crater with a slope that can be up to 40 degrees of inclination, so you need a good physical condition. It is located 47.2 km, approximately two hours from the city of Uruapan.
