TOP SIGHTS IN MORELIA
Callejón del Romance (Romance Alley)
It is one of the most beautiful corners of Morelia with stone buildings and elaborate wrought ironwork.
This picturesque alley is framed by lush bougainvilleas, and in the center, there are two beautiful fountains.
Fuente de las Tarascas
It represents three indigenous women: Atzimba, Eréndira, and Tzetzangari, holding a tray full of regional fruits.
Over time, it has become one of the representative monuments of Morelia and is located east of the city, next to Plaza Villalongín.

Orquidario (Orchid Garden)
Inaugurated in 1980, it is dedicated to the cultivation and preservation of orchid species and varieties native to Michoacán.
You will also find other species from the states of Chiapas, Veracruz-Llave, Jalisco, Oaxaca, Quintana Roo, San Luis Potosí, Mexico, and Colima.
Planetario Felipe Rivera (Planetarium)
The construction features a hemispherical dome with a diameter of 20 meters.
This impressive dome serves as a screen for 164 projectors that reproduce the night sky, including its stars and galaxies, with their apparent movements on any given date, whether in the past, present, or future.
Plaza Villalongín
It is named after the insurgent Don Manuel Villalongín.
According to history, he bravely rescued his wife, who was held captive by the Spanish in the "Las Ánimas" prison, located in this very garden.

Portales (Arcades)
It is a pleasant place where enormous polished quarry arches stand out.
They are located in the city center, facing the Cathedral and other buildings from the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries.
The first portal is right behind the cathedral and is separated from the Aldama portal by the "cerrada" of San Agustín.
